This Privacy Policy explains how SnapDash (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you install our SnapDash app on your Shopify store, use our website, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Service”).
By installing SnapDash or using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data From Your Shopify Store
When you connect your Shopify store to SnapDash, we access the following data through Shopify's official Admin API, using only the permissions (scopes) required to power the features you use:
- Orders — order number, date, status, sales channel, totals, discounts, tax, line items, and associated customer details.
- Products — title, vendor, product type, price, inventory quantity, and SKU.
- Customers — name, email, phone number, order history, and total spend. Customer data is used solely to provide merchant-requested analytics, reporting, customer segmentation (including RFM analysis), automation workflows, dashboards, forecasting, and other features of the Service.
- Shop information — store name, domain, currency, and time zone.
1.2 Information You Provide Directly
Account details such as your name, email address, company name, and any information you submit through onboarding, settings, or support requests.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and usage data collected via cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. See our Cookie Policy for details.
2. How We Use Your Information
Customer personal data (including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and purchase history) is processed solely to provide merchant-requested analytics, reporting, customer segmentation (including RFM analysis), automation workflows, dashboards, forecasting, and other features of the Service.
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service — including analytics dashboards, RFM customer segmentation, custom reports, automation rules, OKR tracking, and AI-powered insights.
- To sync and keep your Shopify data (orders, products, customers) up to date for real-time analytics, reporting, and dashboard functionality.
- To generate reports and exports (CSV, Excel, PDF) that you request.
- To send transactional emails and automation notifications you configure (e.g. low-stock alerts, order tagging).
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To monitor, secure, and improve the Service, and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data or your customers' data, and we do not use your Shopify store data for advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage & Security
Data is stored on secure infrastructure using industry-standard security controls. Personal data is encrypted both in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest, with access restricted to authorized personnel only. Encrypted backups are maintained to support disaster recovery and business continuity.
Access to customer personal data is limited to authorized personnel who require access to operate, maintain, and support the Service.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g. hosting and infrastructure providers), under confidentiality obligations.
- Shopify, as required for the app to function, in accordance with Shopify's own privacy practices.
- Legal authorities, where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
5. Your Rights & Shopify GDPR Compliance
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. As a Shopify app, SnapDash supports Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact) so that data subject requests submitted through Shopify are honored. 6. Data Retention & Deletion
Customer data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the Service. If you uninstall the SnapDash app from your Shopify store, we stop syncing new data immediately. Following app uninstallation, customer data is securely deleted or anonymized within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or you request earlier deletion by contacting support@snapdash.io.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
10. Shopify Partner Program Compliance
SnapDash processes Shopify merchant and customer data in accordance with the Shopify Partner Program Agreement and Shopify API License and Terms of Use.
